孟加拉國政府投資發展漁業，提高漁業產量

據Intrafish 8月23日報道：孟加拉國計劃為2016-2017年漁業項目投資4140萬美元，旨在推動漁業發展，到2021年使其產量達到450000噸，預計將有20個相關發展項目。孟加拉國漁業和畜牧部表示，該項目將激發漁業發展潛力，提高產量，滿足市場需求。

世界糧農組織表示，孟加拉國是全球第四大漁業生產國，近三十年該國年產量從7500噸提高至350000噸，這主要歸功于養殖業的發展。目前，孟加拉國海產品年產量340900噸，僅次于中國、印度和緬甸之后，其中約有200000噸來自養殖業。
